Entries to the annual Boxing Day 5k race are now open. The race is run on the pavements of Stockport and is a three lap course.
The race starts at the Star and Garter pub, 61 Higher Hillgate, Stockport SK1 3HD at 11.00am. There is ample parking on the side streets near the pub.
There will be prizes in all age categories, including juniors. Prize giving will take place in the pub shortly after the finish of the race. Dogs are welcome limited to one per person, on a short lead.
Our hosts, the Star and Garter pub, will once again provide hot food post race and this year there will be a vegan option. (Please tick the appropriate box in the entry form). The meal is included in the cost of the entry.
Transfers can be made up to three days before race day, but no refunds will be given as all proceeds will go to a local charity. This also applies if the race has to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.
Pre-entries close on 22nd December, but there will be entries on the day if the race capacity of 150 is not reached.
Once again all proceeds from the race will be donated to The Maggie Centre at the Christie Hospital which offers practical, emotional and social support to cancer patients.
